It's Here!

A Feast of Ice and Fire, the Official Game of Thrones cookbook, comes creeping to your doorstep by mail and hits shelves today in bookstores around the world.

Go get ’em!

Then come back and tell us what you’re most looking forward to cooking or eating. Or better yet, call out of work, and spend the day eating. It’s a very Tyrion thing to do.

Also, if you send us photos of the book in your local bookstore (with the location), we’ll add it to the gallery in this post.

Huzzah!

Very beautiful. Big time congrats. I hope it can be found in Brazil, actually, Rio or São Paulo main bookstores. I’ll certainly buy myself a copy.

I wanted to thank you again for the signed copy which arrived last week. We ended up making Lemon Cakes over Memorial Day weekend. They were a little burned around the edges but still so tasty that they disappeared before you could say “little bird.” Next up is Sister’s Stew, Medieval Creme Bastard, and one of the breakfasts (probably on the Wall or in King’s Landing) and hopefully I can get a good picture of one of the meals.
Again congrats on the book, and I look forward to the upcoming recipes.

Crap! I picked it up at Brookline Booksmith, and forgot to take a picture!

I will be taking pictures every time I make the food, though, so I can post it on Facebook and taunt my friends with deliciousness.

I found a copy at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park, WA! Tonight I made beef and bacon pie, baked apples, honey biscuits, and chilled blueberries with sweet cream. No complaints from my husband! I should have taken pictures, but the food got gobbled up too quickly.

I just bought it yesterday, they had to go get it for me since it wasn’t on the shelf yet. When I got to the checkout I mentioned to the cashier that I had been looking forward to the book for months, so she asked about it. I told her your story about the blog and how you had fed George during his last book tour. She mentioned how they should display the book better since the fans of the book would love it. I told her the store only had 3 copies now that I bought one. She mentioned they might get more in since they’ll sell really well with how popular the series is. Made me smile to get more people to see your amazing book :)

I picked mine up at Books-A-Milion in Concord, NH. They also had the “Other” G.O.T. cookbook, but not near each other, praise the Seven! (-: When I go back I’ll get a photo of the stack of your beauties on the new book shelf.
I am pleased to see that the Sansa Salad has edible flowers in it, as I think that would please the lady greatly! I have been sneaking edible flowers in my family’s salads for years! I love reading cookbooks~and this one is really special!
Congratulations on a book well done!

Did I mention that I was going back to get “The Game of Thrones” musical CD? Can’t wait to cook and listen. The opening music for the series makes me want to line up and dance a proper Medieval line dance… at a proper Game of Thrones feast!

      Sigh…

Congratulations, the book looks terrific! I got my copy at a Barnes & Noble in Washington, DC and am looking forward to cooking applecakes (both kinds!)… although until I can get good apples in the fall, I will probably try making Lemonsweet first. The pictures are beautiful and I’m really glad I got the hardcover.

Congratulations and thanks for the hard work. I’ve made several of the recipes before and though I’m not much of a home cook they always have come out very well. I bought the cookbook on my iPad and the pictures look great. I showed it to my co-worker who is a great cook and a show watcher and unfortunately I felt squeamish letting her read it because it has some quotes from the later books like A Feast for Crows showing someone is still alive and I didn’t want to spoil her.

But once I start diving into the recipes I’ll be sure to prod her into buying it. She might have to breakdown and read the novels too once she starts eating them.

Had to go to two bookstores to find it. B&N didn’t have it:( (although it was supposed to be by the Asoiaf books). Found it at BAM on the Geek Chic table. I have to give a shout out to the fellows who helped a frustrated me find it. They knew exactly where it was. :)

My husband pre-ordered this book for me for my birthday so I have no pictures at my local store, but I have to say I was so excited to get it yesterday that I immediately looked for Sister’s Stew and sent him off to the store for ingredients. Might I suggest a warning for your readers should you write another book? Don’t eat 4 helpings just because its good…you’ll get a belly ache! (that would be the husband, not me, he was a pig!)

When I walked out of the front door a few days ago, there was a box from Amazon on the doorstep. I had no idea what it was, since I had forgotten I’d pre-ordered the book! It’s awesome – I can’t wait to get to the grocery store :)

Thanks so much for the hard work; it was an obvious labor of love, and it shows on the page. My daughter (2) got the book for my father’s day gift, and I can’t wait to start cooking.

    Thanks again!
